Swallow in Flight, Bridalveil Fall
It was nearly noon when the sunlight began to illuminate Bridalveil Fall while casting the background granite in darker shadow. As the sun slowly changed direction, a beam of light on the right side of the frame appeared casting a diagonal line towards the foreground tree that I quite liked. All the while I was taking dozens of images using burst mode as the wind was continuously shifting the shape of the falls. It wasn’t until I used the 400mm telephoto, that I noticed the many swallows that feed over the water in flight.
