Dogwoods and Redwoods 2, Calaveras Big Trees State Park
In spring, the Pacific Dogwoods come to life with spring green leaf buds and bright white flowers. Although I was a little early for the season, and dry, sunny, windy weather made for challenging shooting conditions, I love the quiet solitude of walking through the forest finding compositions of their delicate, spindly horizontal branches against the rough textured verticality of redwoods.
