Frazil Ice Cathedral Rocks Reflections

Cathedral Rocks towering over a small amount of frazil ice near the shore of the Merced River. This is one of my favorite locations to photograph; sadly, my photos from this exact location a year ago do not exhibit they dying trees caused by bark beetles as is clearly evidenced this year. Hopefully, the precipitation we received this year will slow the progress of this disease affecting the Sierra's majestic pine trees. http://www.optimalfocusphotography.com
