When my husband and I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers for our second wedding anniversary from my family, I finally decided to give the macro lens he bought me for an early 50th birthday present a test spin, as it’s been months since I’ve photographed- an unusually long dry spell for me because of plans thwarted by wildfires and pandemic as well as just a general feeling of constant malaise. The natural light was somewhat obscured by dense, thick wildfire smoke outside my window, so this series is a little grainy, but I appreciated the inspiration to pick up my camera again nonetheless.
