An afternoon spent exploring the Congress Trail in Sequoia National Park was met with increasingly thick fog providing a sense of separation between the foreground and background trees. The forest can be a compositionally busy place to photograph, but this small tree in the clearing provided a focal point to an otherwise busy scene.
