Wildflower Carpet, Amador County
I returned to one of my favorite wildflower spots discovered last year, and can’t say I was in any better shape to hike up the black diamond of all wildflower hills than I was last year, but at least, this time I had some interesting clouds, and although the flowers weren’t as thick as last year, I still found some comps I quite liked. These conditions in Northern California are so short and fleeting, blink and you miss it, that this is commonly a time of year I don’t get much sleep. Hope you enjoy, folks, because I’m exhausted, and working on getting my hiking legs back!
