Queen Anne's Lace
I've always been irresistibly drawn to the lacy structure, umbrella-like shape and fractal symmetry of wild Queen Anne's Lace. During a relaxing early morning stroll through Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, I was inspired to photograph these native flowering plants that grow along the path in gorgeous tones of pink, green and white with my macro lens. When I was an architecture student, I'd seek these plants out for use as "trees" in my architectural models after I dried them out, but it's been a long time since I built a model, and now appreciate their structure with my camera instead. https://www.optimalfocusphotography.com
